NEON MIRAGE

By

Under neon pink skies, where the sun kisses the waves,
Blue waters lap at my feet like whispered secrets.
The sand is silk, slipping between my fingers,
A golden hourglass I can’t flip.

Drinks flow, a cascade of liquid gold,
Cool on my tongue, warm in my veins.
Laughter tumbles like a tide,
Each echo pulled me deeper into the night.

The air hums electric, alive with the pulse
Of something untamed, something sweet.
I inhale it—salty and spiced—
A cocktail of endless possibilities.

My heart beats in sync with the drum,
A rhythm that carries me high,
Higher, until I’m weightless,
Drifting in a haze of colors and light.

Every sip, every step, every glance,
A kaleidoscope of pleasure I don’t want to fade.
The stars blur, or maybe it’s me,
Unraveling under the spell of it all.

Time stretches, bends, then melts away—
I don’t want the trip to end.
The world is a masterpiece smeared with joy,
And I’m the brushstroke that keeps it alive.

Let the tide take me, let the night unfold.
In this neon mirage, I’m lost but whole,
A fleeting dream, a beautiful sin—
I’ll chase it again and again.
