NEW YEAR, NEW BLOOM

By

The clock whispers secrets, the year takes its bow,
I stand in the glow of the here and the now.
A softer me steps from the shadows of past,
A sweeter resolve, to make the good last.

No grand proclamations, no fireworks loud,
Just a gentle ascent above yesterday’s cloud.
A garden of lessons, a harvest of grace,
Each moment a petal, unfolding in space.

The mirror reflects a softer view,
An upgraded version, refreshed and renewed.
No need to be perfect, just willing to grow,
To nurture the seeds that I’ve planted in rows.

This year, I’ll bloom with the seasons’ embrace,
Step lighter, speak softer, move at my pace.
I’ll welcome the dawn with a heart that is clear,
And gently become the best me of the year.
